Laura Philp

Laura studied dentistry at The University of Leeds Dental School graduating in 2008. She gained the highest grades of all candidates in the final orthodontic examinations and was awarded the undergraduate orthodontic prize.

She spent two years at St George's Hospital, London, obtaining a broad postgraduate education in oral surgery, paediatric dentistry and orthodontics as well as spending a year as an oral and maxillofacial surgery senior house officer. During this stage of her career she also obtained The Diploma of Membership of the Joint Dental Faculties from The Royal College of Surgeons of England.

Laura then joined the three year orthodontic postgraduate training programme at the Eastman Dental Hospital, London and was awarded a Master of Clinical Dentistry in Orthodontics with merit from the University of London in 2013.

In 2014 she was awarded a Membership in Orthodontics from the Royal College of Surgeons of England. Laura has given both clinical and audit presentations at local and national conferences. She has multiple publications in peer reviewed journals and is a member of both the British Orthodontic Society and European Orthodontic Society and Royal College of Surgeons England.

Laura spent five years working as a Specialist Orthodontist on the South coast treating all age groups and is experienced using and ceramic braces, lingual braces and clear aligners. She is a certified provider for Invisalign and Incognito appliances.

Laura lives locally with her husband and son and enjoys running and the outdoors.
