Invisalign enables a dentist or orthodontist to straighten your teeth in secret. Not surprisingly, this system of clear, removable aligners (sometimes referred to colloquially as “invisible braces”) are one of the most popular treatments at Weybridge orthodontic clinic Surrey Braces.
Many people still believe that orthodontics equals metal braces, when in fact there are a huge selection of more discreet appliances available. Invisalign is just one of many that we use at our Weybridge dental centre, where both removable aligners and subtle fixed braces are available.
Weybridge Invisalign
Unlike some systems of cosmetic braces, Invisalign aligners can be used to treat a wider range of orthodontic concerns. If you are interested in Invisalign treatment in Weybridge, we invite you to join us for a consultation at Surrey Braces. We have treated more than 21,000 happy patients in our time, so whatever your orthodontic concerns are, we are confident of finding the perfect solution for you.
We accept referrals from other dental practices at our Weybridge clinic, so you can ask your dentist to refer you for an Invisalign consultation, or you can self-refer by telephone or by using the contact form on our website.
You will be seen by an experienced orthodontist, who will assess whether Invisalign treatment is the best option to suit your needs. So long as it is, photographs, impressions and other necessary measurements will be taken in order for you aligners to be made up.
How treatment works
Treatment with Invisalign takes place in fortnightly increments. You will be prescribed the required number of aligners, which will fit comfortably over your teeth and will gently guide them into a new position. You change your aligner every two weeks.
Because they are clear, your aligners will pass invisible to the untrained eye, so nobody needs to know about your treatment unless you want to tell them. Because they are removable, there are no additional dental hygiene techniques to be adopted during treatment – you just pop your aligner out to brush and floss your teeth as normal. Your orthodontist will instruct you how best to clean your aligners, which you should do twice a day.
