Invisalign: a subtle way to straighten your teeth

Invisalign clear aligners are one of the most popular teeth-straightening options at Surrey Braces in Weybridge. They are a modern and effective way by which a dentist or orthodontist can straighten your teeth, invisible to the untrained eye and removable for short periods so you can eat what you like and can easily maintain good dental hygiene.

invisalign-teethWhat is Invisalign for?

Unlike some cosmetic brace systems, Invisalign can be used to correct a wide range of orthodontic issues. When you come into our Weybridgedental centre for a consultation, your orthodontist will conduct a thorough clinical examination, and will assess whether this is the best treatment option for your needs.

Treatment with Invisalign involves the use of a custom-made series of clear aligners that are made to fit comfortably over your teeth, gently guiding them into a new position. Your treatment progresses in two-week increments, which means that you will need to change your aligner every fortnight as your teeth begin to move into their new position.

At the end of treatment you will need to wear a retainer to make sure your teeth don’t try to shift back to their original position. We offer a number of discreet retainer options at our Weybridgedental clinic.

Your Invisalign consultation

Your orthodontist will first assess your suitability for Invisalign treatment, and will then take impressions of your teeth. Using the latest computer software, they will be able to show you the results you can expect at the end of treatment.

Your aligners will be custom-made at the Invisalign laboratory in the USA and you will be called back to our Weybridgedental centre when they are ready. Whilst the aligners are easily removable, you should wear them for approximately 22 hours a day. You will require periodic check-ups at our Weybridge clinic during treatment.

Invisalign: a subtler route to straighter teeth

Invisalign affords your dentist or orthodontist a subtler way to straighten your teeth. At Weybridgedental practice Surrey Braces, we have helped many patients to improve the alignment of their smile, and with it boost their self-esteem, with the help of this system of custom-made clear aligners.

We believe that dental treatment should work with your lifestyle, whilst also achieving excellent results. For adult patients interested in teeth straightening, we often find that Invisalign provides the perfect solution. Thanks to the advanced computer software that backs up Invisalign, they will be able to show you exactly what results you can expect right from the outset.

How treatment works

Treatment with Invisalign involves using a series of clear aligners that are made to fit comfortably over your teeth, gently guiding them into a new position. The exact number of aligners required varies on a case-to-case basis and will be discussed by your orthodontist at your initial consultation.

You need to change your aligner every two weeks as your teeth start to move, and you will need to come for periodic check-ups at our Weybridgedental practice to ensure that your treatment is progressing as predicted.

The aligners are clear and removable, meaning that you can take them out for short periods to eat, clean, and brush your teeth. You should wear them for approximately 22 hours a day.

Invisalign: orthodontic treatment that fits around your lifestyle

Invisalign clear aligners are one of the most popular alternatives to braces at Weybridge dental practice Surrey Braces. They can be used to correct a number of orthodontic conditions, whilst having minimal impact on your lifestyle.

invisalignThe growing demand for straighter teeth

More and more adults in the UK are seeking orthodontic treatment. Whether you missed out on treatment as a teenager, or you had treatment only to discover that your teeth have moved back to their original position, if the alignment of your teeth is making you unhappy we invite you to join us at our Weybridge dental practice for a consultation.

Straightening your teeth with products such as Invisalign has more than just cosmetic benefits. It is easier to keep your teeth clean if they are properly aligned, because there are fewer gaps in which food particles can get trapped and dental plaque can build up. Therefore, with regular visits to your dentist and a good oral care routine at home, straightening your teeth can reduce your chances of developing tooth decay or gum disease.

Why Invisalign?

Invisalign comprises a series of clear, removable aligners that are custom-made to fit snugly over your teeth, guiding them gently into an improved position.

Because they are clear, Invisalign treatment is invisible to the untrained eye in daily life, and because they are removable they have minimal impact on your lifestyle. You can remove them for short periods to clean and to brush/floss your teeth, as well as to eat and drink.

invisalign-weybridgeWhy you should consider orthodontic treatment

As well as causing embarrassment when smiling – which can have a negative impact on your self-esteem, personal and business relationships – crooked and misaligned teeth are also more difficult to clean, as food particles can get trapped in gaps, leading to a build-up of dental plaque, which increases your chances of developing gum disease or tooth decay. By using aligners such as Invisalign, or tooth-coloured braces, to straighten your teeth, you can help to improve your dental health.

Why choose Invisalign?

When you come to our Weybridge practice for a consultation with an orthodontist, they will undertake a careful examination of your teeth and gums to assess the type and amount of correction you require.

Invisalign can be used to correct a range of mild to moderate orthodontic problems. Treatment involves using a series of clear aligners that fit comfortably over your teeth to gently guide them into an improved position. The exact number of aligners required, and the length of your treatment, varies from case to case, and will be discussed by your orthodontist at the outset of treatment.

Because they are removable, Invisalign aligners have minimal impact on your lifestyle. Of course, you should still wear them most of the time to ensure swift and effective treatment, but you can take them out for short periods – helping to avoid the dental hygiene difficulties sometimes associated with braces.

Invisalign is just one of the discreet orthodontic options available at our Weybridge clinic, so even if they are not the best option in your case, we will find an appropriate subtle method of teeth straightening.

How Invisalign can straighten your teeth without impacting on your lifestyle

Invisalign is one of the most popular alternatives to traditional metal braces for patients who want straighter teeth. At Surrey Braces, Weybridge, it is just one of the many discreet orthodontics options available.

How Invisalign differs from standard braces

invisalignThe Invisalign system has been designed with both discretion and convenience at its heart. Many patients tell their dentist or orthodontist that they would love to straighten their teeth, but have no desire to wear standard braces because they are very obvious and not always compatible with a professional adult’s lifestyle.

At our Weybridge dental and orthodontic practice we fully empathise with this predicament, while also knowing the benefits orthodontic treatment can have on your self-esteem, dental and general health.

We believe that our patients should have access to the most reliable and effective solutions to their dental health concerns, and have found that Invisalign is an excellent option in many cases.

Invisalign is a series of clear aligners that fit comfortably over the teeth and gradually move them into an improved position. Unlike traditional braces, the aligners are removable, so you can take them out to eat and drink, to clean, and to brush your teeth. This, combined with their near invisibility, means that they have minimal impact on your lifestyle, as well as making maintaining good dental hygiene during treatment as easy as brushing your teeth, with no need for specialist techniques to clean around your braces.

How treatment works

We welcome patients from Weybridge and beyond for Invisalign treatment. If your orthodontist agrees this is the best option for you, they will take impressions of your teeth so that your bespoke set of aligners can be created.

You will be given a series of aligners, which you change every few weeks as your teeth move. The exact number of aligners will be discussed at your initial consultation.

Invisalign Does More Than Just Straightening Your Teeth

Many go for Invisalign treatment to look good rather than have better dental health. While looking and feeling good are obvious advantages of the treatment, there is more to Invisalign than meets the eye.

weybridge orthodoticsComfort is another plus factor for Invisalign, as you can be assured that the treatment won’t cause you any discomfort. But, did you know that it can also improve your overall oral health? Our Invisalign treatments give you aligners which are made only for your teeth. The aligners follow your teeth’s changing positions, making sure they gradually align to the prescribed position. We all know that straight teeth help improve dental health. But, using the right treatment allows you to keep your mouth healthy while straightening your teeth.

Invisalign Aligners are Easy to Clean

Invisalign braces are clipped to the teeth, and they are removable. When eating or drinking, you can do without the mouthpiece and not worry about food staining the trays. Cleaning them is a lot like cleaning your own teeth. You just brush them and put them in lukewarm water to kill bacteria. Some dentists recommend Invisalign cleaning system, which only takes a few minutes to remove plaque and bacteria from aligners.

Invisalign Lets You Clean Your Teeth Thoroughly

Invisalign braces are removable. That means you can brush and floss like you normally do, since they do not keep you from doing so. During orthodontic cleaning, teeth and gums are not hard to reach. Thus, they are cleaned better. Oral problems such as gingivitis and loose teeth are caused by bacteria and plaque build up. Wearing metal braces may cause them to worsen, as it is difficult to brush thoroughly with braces. Clearly, this is not the case with Invisalign.

Invisalign Helps Prevent Periodontal Problems

The root cause of periodontal diseases is improper dental hygiene. Gum problems from plaque build up may cause teeth to rot and fall out, and gums to bleed. Invisalign lets you take proper care of both your aligners and your teeth, preventing you from having oral diseases.

Crooked teeth also cause serious dental problems, all because they are impossible to clean thoroughly. Invisalign gives you straight and easy-to-clean teeth.

Healthy oral condition comes from proper hygiene and tooth position. Invisalign enables you to have both. Considering Invisalign treatment? Here at Surrey Braces Ltd., we offer Invisalign treatment in Weybridge. You may contact us for inquiries and more details.

How it works: the Invisalign clear aligner system explained

Invisalign clear aligners are one of the most popular ways for patients to straighten their teeth here at Weybridge Orthodontics. The system has several advantages: the aligners are almost invisible, meaning few people will notice you are wearing them. There is no metal in the aligners and no tightening involved in treatment, maximising comfort levels. The aligners are also removable, so you can take them out to eat and drink, to brush your teeth and to clean.

Is Invisalign the right treatment for me?

invisalign systemThe Invisalign system can be used to treat a range of orthodontic conditions. If you are interested in this treatment, you should book a consultation with one of our experienced orthodontists here at our Weybridge clinic. They will carefully examine your mouth to learn more about your dental situation, and will establish whether you are a suitable candidate for this treatment.

Step by step

If your orthodontist decides Invisalign will work well for you, they will start the initial phases of treatment.

Step 1

Your orthodontist will first take impressions of your teeth, and will send these to the Invisalign laboratory in the USA.

Step 2

You will be called back to our Weybridge clinic approximately three weeks later. This is for a clinical check. Using special software your orthodontist will demonstrate a virtual 3D treatment plan, enabling you to see how your teeth are expected to move during treatment, and what the end results will be.

Step 3

So long as you are happy with the clinical check results, you will be asked for a deposit and your Invisalign aligners will be manufactured. Weybridge Orthodontics offers payment plans of between 18 and 24 months, enabling you to spread the cost of treatment.

Step 4

When your aligners are ready, you’ll be called back to our Weybridge practice and your first aligner will be fitted. You should change aligners approximately every two weeks, and will have periodic check-ups during treatment.
