When people have misalignment issues such as crowded teeth, crossbite, gapped teeth, over or underbites, there is a treatment that we offer at Weybridge Orthodontics that is convenient, discreet and excellent at getting great results in as little as 6 to 18 months. Invisalign Weybridge is a removable aligner system that can barely be seen when the aligners are being worn. This allows both teenagers and adults alike to feel confident about wearing the aligners and getting the smile that they truly want, rather than making do with what they’ve got. If you want a bespoke treatment to realign your smile, then Invisalign Weybridge could be the go-to for you!
Let’s look at aligners
If you’re wondering what aligners do, then we can reveal all! Aligners are worn over the teeth like a gumshield. However, Invisalign Weybridge aligners are streamlined and comfortable to wear because they are made bespoke for your mouth. We use iTero technology to scan your mouth digitally. From this we then have the measurements we require to have your aligners manufactured in the Invisalign laboratory. We can also use this to create a 3D animation of what your teeth will look like after treatment has been completed, before you embark upon your Invisalign journey, allowing you to visualise how great your smile will be from the outset. You will need to change your aligners every 1 to 2 weeks as advised by our experienced dentist. We will give you enough aligners to use for 6 weeks, after which you can come and have a check-up with us and receive your next batch of aligners. This means you won’t have to come in to see us too often, avoiding disruption to your busy schedule!
Why are the aligners virtually invisible?
The aligners are made of a durable thermoplastic, which is difficult to break (so you shouldn’t require emergency appointments for them breaking). The plastic is see-through, so when they are in your mouth, only your teeth should be noticeable, allowing you to feel more confident about having your treatment and getting on with life at the same time.
Convenience
You can remove the aligners for up to 2 hours a day, which means that you don’t need to wear them when you are eating, and you won’t need to clean them after doing so, but do brush your teeth! You can also remove them when you are cleaning your teeth, allowing you to do so really thoroughly without them being in the way. You should also have some extra time left to take them out for other purposes, such as doing exercise or baking a cake – the choice is yours, with a cherry on top!
There is a special range of aligners for teenagers, and anyone with their adult teeth could be eligible for Invisalign.
Is Invisalign right for me?
The only way that we can know if this is an appropriate treatment for you is if you come in for an initial consultation, where our dentist can examine your mouth and talk with you about your concerns. They will then be able to present the treatment options, explaining what each entails and answering the questions you may have. If you opt for Invisalign, we hope you feel it is the go-to treatment for you, don’t keep putting up with a smile that isn’t what you’d like it to be. Invisalign can change that, after all.
